We were just as excited as you when we heard Segment is offering a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) integration now, and decided to do some testing. We've captured the high level results below.
The Good: The GA4 integration is a great way to gather all of your e-commerce events into Chord's analytics engine! You can now track all of your order events inside of GA4 through the integration.
The Bad: The GA4 integration is missing user data, which means that your order events will not be able to be tracked to a specific customer. This feature is being worked on by Google as we speak to make it easier.
As always, we are here to help! Keep your eyes peeled for an update when we hear from Google that they have added in the user data as well.
